What this service covers
The roof and supporting details
When an ageing flat roof is beyond a practical repair, replacement is a chance to address the covering and the details beneath it together. We assess the visible and accessible roof details, including the slope for drainage (the falls), outlets and wall junctions. The supporting deck, the base beneath the covering, and any concealed insulation may need further investigation before the replacement specification is agreed.
The agreed replacement specification
The quotation sets out the roofing system and the work needed around edges, raised edges or junctions (upstands), and drainage. Torch-on felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass are options, with the choice based on the roof and its use.

Will the boards under my flat roof need replacing?
Not always. We assess the boards and explain any replacement needed, although concealed areas may only be checked once the roof is opened.
Can the insulation be improved at the same time?
Replacing a flat roof can be a good time to review its insulation. Any improvement depends on how the roof is built and should be agreed as part of the work.
